Check at least the Parameters and
Relations options of the
Display tab
in the Tools->Options...->Infrastructure->Part
Infrastructure settings.

Open any document containing at least one parameter or create a document
and add a parameter to it (otherwise, you won't have the Parameters node displayed in
the specification tree).

Click the icon, then
select the Parameters node in the specification tree. The Parameters.1 (or Parameters.n)
parameter set is added to the specification tree right below the Parameters node.

Click the
icon to add a new parameter in the created parameter set. The Parameter Explorer dialog
box is displayed. In the specification tree, select the Parameter Set you want to add a
parameter to. The name of the parameter set is displayed in the Feature field of the
Parameter Explorer dialog box.

Fill in the other fields of the Parameter Explorer dialog box. If need
be, see Adding a Parameter to a Feature.

After you have finished specifying the new parameter, click OK in the
Parameter Explorer dialog box. In the specification tree, you can expand the feature
which represents the parameter set. A new parameter has been added below the parameter
set.
